What is this life?
A search for something beyond this cosmic desolation
Cornered in a hole of a finite plane
Diminished to a glitch, an error in space
The expanding mind begets misery
Forgive me for wanting more
In a century of triumphs my existence is failure
A steady decline with an urge to wander
Destination: Unknown, erase me from this place
To set the stage in a life beyond
A lust for shift in this fractured myth
Monotony is my nightmare
My nightmare!
Wandering in this discouraged body
A phantom of my inner desires
Must these dreams remain illusions?
There must be something more
Destination: Unknown, erase me from this place
To set the stage in a life beyond
A lust for shift in this fractured myth
Without fear for what lies ahead
Push my sight into the distance
Transforming my existence
Destination: Unknown, erase me from this place
To set the stage in a life beyond
A life that will never be fulfilled
To exist but not alive
Since Spenser Moore replaced Blackburn I’ve frankly appreciated Inferi far more. I feel that his drumming improves the overall sound of the band a great deal, but it’s probably just a personal style preference. Either way, Of Sunless Realms was a great foreshadowing of the epic Vile Genesis. Metallurgical Fire
Culinary-themed melodic death metal outfit cook up a smorgasbord of fierce solos, tight percussion, and cheeky, foodie-approved screeds. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 11, 2024
This is gorgeous death/doom which fits the World War I theme perfectly!
The aggressive death metal parts symbolize the crushing brutality of the Great War, while the doom metal passages stand for the quiet desperation of the trenches, there are also some movies sample sprinkled in which makes the album a real experience. Markus Schmidt
